HEAD OF FACULTY - ARABIC A & B

The English College, Dubai, is excited to announce an opening for the position of Head of Faculty - Arabic A & B, commencing in August 2026.

We are in search of a motivated, reflective, and inspiring leader to take charge of the Arabic Faculty and Secondary School. The ideal candidate will embody a growth mindset, holding high expectations for both staff and students. We value individuals who are eager to engage in professional development and believe in the continuous potential for improvement. Our focus is on finding a dedicated professional who is passionate about nurturing students' holistic development—academically, emotionally, physically, and socially.

With a distinguished 33-year history, The English College stands as one of the oldest educational establishments in Dubai. This independent, co-educational institution offers a British curriculum from Early Years Foundation Stage through Year 13 and is conveniently located off Sheikh Zayed Road. Our students, affectionately known as Curious Cubs in their early years and EC Lions as they progress, embark on a journey of exploration and growth, supported by a committed team that nurtures talents, builds confidence, and inspires aspirations. Our mission is simple: Learn. Thrive. Make a Difference. Education here transcends traditional boundaries, encompassing curiosity, creativity, resilience, and character. We prioritize well-being, believing that supportive and happy environments lead to natural success.

We offer outstanding resources and facilities. Our cutting-edge STEAM centre, which opened in August 2025, is equipped with design technology labs, a graphics studio, a media suite, and a robotics studio. The Secondary Building features two drama studios, a fitness suite, specialized art and music rooms, and science laboratories. The Primary Building also boasts specialized facilities for computing, art, science, and STEAM. We have earned a reputation for academic excellence, placing each student's success at the heart of our mission. Our students are engaged, dedicated, and passionate about learning, while our staff comprises enthusiastic and exceptional educators committed to ongoing professional development. We enjoy strong support from parents who play an active role in their children's learning and progress.

The successful candidate will be passionate, highly qualified, and dedicated, with a proven track record. Teaching positions at EC offer a stimulating and rewarding challenge, allowing you to contribute to a dynamic, forward-thinking institution recognized as Outstanding by BSO (2022) and Very Good by DSIB (2023). The candidate must demonstrate innovative teaching practices and the capacity to inspire and motivate students with diverse talents and abilities. It is crucial to maintain high expectations for all students, utilizing data to tailor support and challenges appropriately. A willingness to teach Arabic up to A level is required, along with the capability to teach other science subjects at KS3 and/or KS4.

Values and character are paramount in our hiring process. We look for candidates who resonate with our core purpose, vision, and values. We seek a dedicated team player who possesses the energy, drive, and passion necessary to help shape this progressive school. The candidate should demonstrate a commitment to ensuring that students achieve their full potential as part of a collaborative team, actively supporting the pastoral care and well-being of our learners and contributing to a vibrant extracurricular program. A significant role in safeguarding our students is also expected.

At The English College, we foster a family-like atmosphere, with wonderful students and a motivated team of exceptional teachers and support staff, creating a fantastic environment for both learning and teaching.
