About This Role
The Position
The Head of ESL will spearhead the ESL programs at the School. This role requires the individual to cultivate a cohesive approach to the execution and instruction of ESL throughout the entire institution, which includes overseeing additional ESL initiatives such as the Language Centre that provides an intensive English pathway outside the standard curriculum.
Reporting directly to the Deputy Head, the Head of ESL will be charged with developing and advocating for the School's ESL offerings.
The successful applicant must fully embrace the core values of DBS and recognize the strong connection between ESL development and academic achievement, alongside the equal importance of pastoral care and co-curricular activities.
Remuneration
The selected candidate will enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package aligned with their experience. This includes:
- Competitive salary.
- On-site accommodation for the first year (if hired from abroad), with an option to relocate off-site and receive a housing allowance starting in the second year.
- Round-trip flights at the start and end of the contract (including for dependent spouse and children).

- Full tuition fee coverage for up to two children, three for teaching couples (50% coverage for any additional children).
