Job Overview

This role focuses on delivering high-quality Biology teaching at AS/A Level, while contributing to the broader Science curriculum at KS3 and IGCSE. The teacher will engage students through practical work, inquiry-based learning, and strong subject expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Biology at AS/A Level, preparing students for external examinations
• Deliver KS3 Science and IGCSE Science, ensuring strong foundational knowledge
• Plan and deliver engaging, practical, and inquiry-based lessons
• Assess, monitor, and support student progress through effective feedback and intervention
• Prepare and manage laboratory activities in line with safety standards
• Contribute to curriculum planning and development within the Science department
• Support extracurricular activities
• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively with students and parents

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Education or a relevant bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in relevant role at an international school
• Recognised teaching qualification, such as PGCE with QTS or an equivalent licence
• Understanding of the Cambridge International Curriculum
• Native English speaker or excellent English proficiency both spoken and written
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to Values-based Education and Enquiry Learning
• Experience teaching AS/A Level Biology
