About the Role

As Assistant Principal – Quality of Education, you will play a vital role in shaping and delivering our ambitious school improvement plan. Reporting to the Vice Principal/Head of School, you will:

  • Lead curriculum development and ensure a coherent, enriching learning experience for every student, with a focus on closing the progress gap for disadvantaged and SEND learners.

  • Support and line-manage faculty leaders and middle leaders to promote high-quality teaching and learning.

  • Drive professional development initiatives that empower staff and foster continuous improvement.

  • Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, student welfare, and behaviour to create a safe, positive culture.

  • Collaborate with the wider school community, including governors, parents, and external partners, to enhance educational outcomes and opportunities.

This role combines leadership responsibilities with teaching duties, offering a dynamic and influential position within our Senior Leadership Team.


About You

You are an experienced and inspirational leader who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status and has a proven track record of excellent secondary teaching and strong pupil outcomes.

  • Has successfully contributed to whole-school improvement and led teams to deliver impactful change.

  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of effective curriculum design, assessment, and safeguarding.

  • Leads with integrity, empathy, and resilience, fostering positive relationships across the school community.

  • Is committed to our Christian ethos and values, embracing the role of education in developing the whole child.

  • Communicates with clarity and confidence, with the ability to motivate staff and students alike.
