Established in 1932, St. Julian’s is a distinguished British international school catering to students aged 3 to 18. The school boasts a unique character, rich history, and an exceptional location. About the role

We are looking to recruit an experienced and innovative English Teacher starting in August 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the vibrant and collaborative English faculty within our Secondary section. Over 600 students are enrolled in the secondary school, following a tailored curriculum in Key Stage 3 before progressing to CIE IGCSE and IB Diploma English Language and Literature or English Literature. Each year, a few students participate in the GCSE ESL and English B Diploma courses.

The English team consists of 9 full-time educators, led by a Head of Faculty and a Deputy Head of Faculty. Our students are engaged and ambitious, with many advancing to prestigious universities. Our selection of texts reflects our commitment to providing a diverse curriculum and encourages exploration of issues pertinent to our international student body.

We take pride in our student care, and all teachers are expected to actively contribute to pastoral care as either a form tutor or support tutor.

Essential:

- A degree in English or a related field
- A recognized teaching qualification
- Proven experience in delivering excellent teaching across KS3, 4 & 5
- Experience in teaching IB Language B or GCSE English as a Second Language
- A demonstrated record of being adaptable, innovative, and compassionate in teaching and learning
- Collaborative experience in planning and teamwork

Desirable:

- Experience teaching CIE IGCSE
- Experience teaching IB Diploma at SL or HL
