About This Role

We are seeking an exceptional Key Stage 2 teacher dedicated to fostering the joy of childhood. Our Key Stage 2 program continues to embrace effective play characteristics tailored to age-appropriate levels. This includes a design thinking framework that empowers children to engage in passion projects and research-based, child-led learning. Our curriculum weaves a compelling narrative through the educational journey, providing students with increasing autonomy and opportunities to explore their interests. We believe in the transformative potential of children as explorers and leaders of their own learning, balanced with high-quality, targeted direct instruction. We expect you to uphold the highest standards, demonstrate reflective and responsive teaching practices, and be a passionate, positive, and caring supporter of each child in your class. We seek a teacher who values individualized education, grounded in strong relationships and an appreciation for each learner as a unique individual beyond mere data points.

Our school offers exceptional, well-equipped indoor and outdoor settings, including our own Forest School, set in a lush tropical environment. Our students are remarkable and will wholeheartedly engage in the learning experiences you collaboratively design with them. If you inspire children to eagerly anticipate the learning adventures that lie ahead, we would love to have you join our team. While prior overseas teaching experience is not mandatory, a genuine desire to work within an international community is essential. Jerudong International School is committed to equal opportunity for all staff, and we encourage applications from individuals regardless of any protected characteristics as defined by the 2010 UK Equality Act.

To submit your application, please fill out the application form on the TES website, where additional details about the position are also available. Ensure that your profile is fully completed, including an up-to-date CV uploaded to your profile. This should contain a recent photograph and full contact details (including email addresses) for three (3) professional referees, with one being your current or most recent headteacher. A cover letter is also required. Please note: applications with incomplete profiles, without a cover letter, or those not submitted via TES will be automatically rejected. JIS is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, expecting all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. References will be requested before any final interviews. All post holders must undergo appropriate vetting procedures and satisfactory Criminal Background Checks or equivalent covering the last 10 years of employment history.

The deadline for applications is Monday, 13th April 2026, though we encourage early submissions. Initial and final interviews will take place via Google Meet.

Applicants who have not received communication by Friday, 24th April 2026, should assume they have not been shortlisted. The School sincerely appreciates their interest.

The successful candidate should be available to begin employment in August 2026.
