About This Role

We are seeking an exceptional Key Stage 1 teacher who is dedicated to maintaining the joy of childhood. Our Key Stage 1 classrooms embrace play-based learning, incorporating numerous aspects of our high-quality Early Years provision while integrating the objectives of the Key Stage 1 curriculum. Our approach is tailored to reflect the interests of the children. We value the transformative power of storytelling, viewing children as explorers and leaders of their own educational journeys. We need an individual who maintains high expectations and acts as a passionate, positive, and nurturing advocate for the children in their care. We are looking for a teacher who is devoted to personalized education grounded in strong relationships and an understanding of learners as unique individuals beyond standard data metrics.

We provide exceptional, well-equipped indoor and outdoor environments, including our own Forest School nestled in a tropical jungle. Our students are remarkable and will eagerly engage in the learning experiences you craft together. If your presence inspires children to rush into school excited about the adventures ahead, then we are the right school for you. While previous overseas experience is not a requirement, a genuine interest in working within a truly international community is essential. Jerudong International School values equal opportunity for all staff and encourages applications from individuals regardless of any protected characteristics as defined by the 2010 UK Equality Act.

To apply, please complete the application form on the TES website, where further details regarding the position can also be found. Your profile must be fully completed, including an updated CV uploaded to your profile. This should feature a recent photograph and the complete contact information (including email addresses) for three (3) professional referees, with one being your current or most recent headteacher. A covering letter must also be included. Please note that applications will be rejected if profiles are incomplete, if a covering letter is not submitted, or if CVs are not provided through TES. JIS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, expecting all staff and volunteers to uphold this commitment. References will be obtained prior to any final interviews. All post holders will undergo appropriate vetting procedures and satisfactory Criminal Background Checks or equivalents covering the last 10 years of employment history.

The deadline for applications is Monday, 13th April 2026; however, early submissions are encouraged. Initial and final interviews will take place via Google Meet.

Applicants who have not been contacted by Friday, 24th April 2026 should assume they have not been shortlisted. The School sincerely appreciates their interest.

The successful candidate must be able to start employment in August 2026.
