Overview:

The Performance Analyst will be pivotal in gathering, analyzing, and presenting data to facilitate evidence-based decision-making within the Mustang High Performance Team. This position will lead efforts in biometric data collection, video analysis, and dashboard creation to help coaches and staff monitor athlete performance, wellbeing, and growth over time. The role will also focus on fostering innovation through the use of technology and AI to enhance analysis and intervention strategies across the program.

Key Responsibilities


• Oversee the collection and analysis of biometric, physiological, and performance data for all high-performance athletes.

• Manage the analysis and delivery of video footage from matches, training sessions, and performance evaluations to aid both individual and team growth.

• Develop and maintain customized dashboards (e.g., Power BI, TeamBuildr, VALD) to monitor trends, identify issues, and guide coaching decisions.

• Collaborate with coaches to establish performance profiles and ensure personalized feedback is provided to athletes and their parents.

• Generate monthly reports analyzing wellbeing, load, attendance, behavior, and performance data to uncover trends and opportunities for intervention.

• Partner closely with the High Performance Coordinator to assist in IAP reviews by providing detailed performance summaries.

• Create visual and video coaching materials to support both technical and tactical development, including highlight compilations, breakdown clips, and team analyses.

• Investigate and implement cutting-edge technologies and AI tools to improve performance tracking, player monitoring, and auto-tagging capabilities.

• Aid in the development of digital portfolios for athletes pursuing scholarships or external performance opportunities.

• Ensure all data systems align with school data protection and safeguarding protocols.

• Contribute to the development of specialized professional training within the GEMS Network as part of the Centre of Excellence for Sport.

• Undertake any additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Director of Sport or High Performance Coordinator to support the overall objectives and outcomes of the school.

• A degree in Sports Science, Performance Analysis, Data Science, or a related discipline (Postgraduate qualification preferred).

• Experience in a school, academy, or professional sports environment in a performance analysis or data-focused role.

• Proficiency in performance software (e.g., HUDL and VALD) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).

• Strong knowledge of athlete monitoring systems, video tagging techniques, and load management.

• Proven ability to convey technical information effectively to coaches, athletes, and parents.

• A passion for leveraging data and technology to enhance athlete development, wellbeing, and overall outcomes.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
