We are seeking a highly qualified and skilled Teacher of Key Stage 3 Science to join our team in August 2026, preferably someone with experience in international or UK-based curricula.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Deliver captivating and effective Science lessons at Key Stage 3, in line with the school’s curriculum framework.


Design and implement engaging lessons that encourage scientific inquiry, experimentation, and critical thinking.


Assess student progress through both formative and summative assessments, upholding high academic standards.


Provide pastoral care, promoting student well-being and working closely with the school’s well-being team.


Encourage student participation in extracurricular activities, science clubs, and enrichment programs.


Contribute to the development of the curriculum and initiatives aimed at school improvement.


Maintain a positive classroom atmosphere with high expectations for behavior and discipline.


Collaborate with colleagues to exchange best practices and support professional development objectives.


Maintain regular communication with parents and stakeholders regarding student progress.


Stay updated with advancements in science education and engage in ongoing professional development.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


A relevant degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field) along with a valid teaching qualification.


Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3, with a preference for those familiar with international or UK curricula.


The ability to inspire and engage students, cultivating curiosity and excitement for Science.


Strong skills in differentiating instruction to accommodate diverse learners.


Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to foster strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.


Experience utilizing technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning.


A commitment to ongoing professional development.


A solid understanding of safeguarding and student welfare practices.

Compensation
