Position: Full-time Subject Teacher
The International German School Hefei (IGSHF) is an international community dedicated to delivering a well-rounded and stimulating educational experience. To enhance our growing community, we are in search of enthusiastic and qualified Subject Foreign Teachers to join our team.
Position Overview:
We are seeking motivated educators across various subjects, including but not limited to Science, Mathematics, English, Humanities, Arts, and Physical Education. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons, cultivate a positive learning environment, and actively contribute to the vibrant life of our school community.
- Evaluate and track student progress, offering regular feedback to facilitate their academic development.
- Establish a positive, inclusive, and well-structured classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and extracurricular initiatives.
- Actively engage in school events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to the school's pastoral care initiatives while embodying the school's values and mission.
Requirements and Qualifications:
1. Mandatory Eligibility (for Chinese Work Permit):
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field related to the subject being taught.
- Teaching License: A valid national/state teaching credential/license is required.
- Experience: At least 2 years of full-time, post-licensure teaching experience in a K-12 educational setting.
- Background Check: A criminal background check from your country of residence, authenticated by the Chinese Embassy or Consulate, is necessary.
2. Professional Skills & Attributes:
- A genuine passion for teaching and a strong commitment to student achievement.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and cross-cultural skills.
- Adaptability, resilience, and a true interest in Chinese culture and lifestyle.
- Innovative and proficient in utilizing technology to enhance the learning experience.
- Candidates with experience teaching multiple subjects will be viewed favorably.
