We are a popular and high-achieving secondary school, seeking a passionate and committed Science Teacher to join our dynamic and supportive team, covering a period of maternity leave from September 2026.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Science lessons across both KS3 and KS4, inspiring curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning. You will work in one of 9 well-resourced laboratories with three prep rooms, alongside experienced teaching and lab technician colleagues who value collaboration and innovation.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified Science teacher (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or General Science)
  • Has strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom management skills

  • Can contribute positively to the wider life of the school

The Earls High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will carry out pre-appointment checks including DBS and will disqualify any applicant where we consider the outcomes to be unsatisfactory. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.

We are equally committed to ensuring that no applicant will be disadvantaged or discriminated against because of their protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010.
