Founded in 2014, GEMS FirstPoint School is a distinguished British Curriculum institution located in the lively The Villa community of Dubai. Currently, the school serves around 2,000 students from Nursery (age 2) through Year 13 and has ambitious plans for continued expansion.

FPS is proud to be an inclusive and values-driven school, showcasing a diverse student population representing over 90 nationalities. Our campus boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including a dedicated center for sports and performing arts, swimming pools, a theatre, a sports hall, and specialized rooms for dance, drama, and music. Our learning environments feature fully equipped science laboratories, computer suites, a food technology kitchen, textiles and design suite, along with Design Technology workshops.

Our curriculum is rich, balanced, and supplemented with exceptional co-curricular opportunities, allowing every student to realize their potential and achieve personal success. Students benefit from studying internationally recognized A Levels, GCSEs, and BTECs, while our teachers receive substantial support through comprehensive professional development. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the British curriculum.
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess student learning effectively while keeping accurate progress records.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages innovation, curiosity, and a love for learning.
  • Leverage technology to enhance the educational experience.
  • Take part in co-curricular and extra-curricular programs, contributing to school-wide initiatives and events.
  • Consistently follow GEMS policies, procedures, and core values.
  • Maintain open communication with parents, colleagues, and external stakeholders to support student development.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and performance management.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science (with a focus on Biology or Chemistry) or equivalent.
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Proven strong classroom practice with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and personalized learning.
  • Willingness to be involved in the wider school community and contribute to a culture of professional learning.

Compensation
