Secondary SEND Coordinator (m/f/d)

St. George’s School is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to fill the newly created position of SEND Coordinator for Upper Secondary and Sixth Form, starting in August 2026.

The School

For more than 20 years, St. George’s School has been a vital part of the international community in Duisburg-Düsseldorf, offering a comprehensive curriculum while fostering a family-centered environment. What began as a small institution has transformed into a lively community of approximately 650 students, aged 2-18, from diverse national backgrounds.

The National Curriculum is implemented throughout the school, and we are proud to provide the IB Diploma in our Sixth Form.

The Location

Located in a newly built campus in the heart of Germany’s Rhine-Ruhr area, St. George’s School enjoys excellent transportation links to both Düsseldorf and Duisburg, as well as the wider Rhine-Ruhr region.

Düsseldorf, the sixth largest city in Germany, is a vibrant cultural center with a large and diverse international population. Positioned at the heart of Europe, Düsseldorf offers a high standard of living and numerous opportunities for travel and cultural experiences.

The school is conveniently situated just 15km from Düsseldorf Airport, which provides numerous daily flights to the UK, while high-speed rail services connect Düsseldorf to various European cities.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that students benefit socially, emotionally, and academically from SEND provisions through exceptional teaching practices; accurate identification, assessment, and monitoring; collaboration with external partners; and timely arrangements for examination access. This role also includes facilitating significant professional development for staff in SEND and Inclusion, while continually enhancing the post holder’s own expertise in these areas.
