St. George’s School is seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to fill the newly created role of SEND Coordinator for Upper Secondary and Sixth Form, starting in August 2026.
The School
For more than two decades, St. George’s School has focused on supporting the international community in Duisburg-Düsseldorf, merging a comprehensive curriculum with a family-oriented approach. The school has transformed from its humble origins into a dynamic community of approximately 650 students aged 2-18, representing a diverse range of nationalities.
The National Curriculum is followed throughout the institution, with the IB Diploma available in the Sixth Form.

Located on a newly built campus in the heart of Germany’s Rhine-Ruhr region, St. George’s School enjoys excellent transport links to Düsseldorf, Duisburg, and the wider Rhine-Ruhr area.
Düsseldorf, the sixth-largest city in Germany, is a vibrant and culturally diverse hub with a significant international community. Centrally situated in Europe, Düsseldorf offers a high standard of living, along with numerous opportunities for travel and cultural experiences.
The school is just 15km from Düsseldorf Airport, which provides multiple daily flights to the UK, while high-speed train services connect the city to various European destinations.
The Role
In this role, you will ensure that students benefit socially, emotionally, and academically from SEND provisions through effective teaching practices, comprehensive identification, assessment, and monitoring; collaboration with external partners; and timely arrangements for examinations. Furthermore, this position involves promoting and developing effective professional development for staff in SEND and Inclusion, while continuously enhancing your own expertise in these fields.
