About This Role
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Christian Life School (Peace River North) is looking for a full-time Principal for the academic year 2025-2026. The selected individual may also have the chance to teach part-time in their area of expertise, as circumstances allow. As an accredited independent institution, Christian Life School (CLS) caters to a diverse group of around 130 students from Kindergarten through Junior High. Our committed staff focus on inspiring and empowering students to reach their fullest potential while encouraging them to step outside their comfort zones for both academic achievement and personal development.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
· A valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for one). We are willing to assist the right candidate in obtaining certification from another province.
· Agreement with our doctrinal statement and alignment with the mission and philosophies of our Christian faith-based school and its policies.
· A willingness to engage in part-time or full-time teaching in addition to administrative responsibilities.
· Flexibility to handle various course assignments as necessary (minimum requirement includes a minor in a teachable subject at the secondary level recognized by the BC Ministry of Education).
· Experience in modifying and adapting curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students.
· Strong classroom management skills and strategies that create an effective learning environment while respecting student dignity.
· A dedication to implementing school initiatives and objectives within the classroom framework.
· A collaborative mindset to work with colleagues in developing and executing individualized learning plans for students facing academic, social, and emotional challenges.
· An eagerness to work together with staff on the school improvement plan and actively participate in professional development.
