Curriculum Overview:

Doha British School follows the National Curriculum of England, adapted to reflect Qatar’s cultural heritage and values. The school provides a cohesive educational journey from Early Years through to Sixth Form, blending academic excellence with robust pastoral support and a focus on personal growth.

At every educational level, the DBS curriculum is designed to be relevant, engaging, and challenging, combining academic rigor with leadership, creativity, and global citizenship.

Ideal candidates should have:

• A recognized educational degree, such as a Bachelor's in Education or an equivalent qualification.

• A valid teaching certification, such as a PGCE or QTS, along with an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE should be supported by a subject-relevant bachelor's degree).

• A minimum of two years of teaching experience (international experience is advantageous but not essential).

• Comprehensive subject knowledge, especially regarding the National Curriculum of England.

• A strong passion for fostering a student-centered learning environment.

• A commitment to professional development and a collaborative approach to teaching.

• A demonstrated track record of delivering exceptional teaching and learning results.

This position is scheduled to commence in September 2026; however, staff are expected to arrive in the country by mid-August for orientation and onboarding.
