About This Role
Poplar River School is seeking a Music Teacher to instruct students from Kindergarten through Grade 8. We are excited to find a dynamic and enthusiastic music educator who can inspire our students' appreciation for music. Understanding the significant role music plays in enhancing lives, igniting creativity, and fostering a passion for the arts, we aim to recruit an individual who can motivate and guide our students on their musical journeys. The selected educator will be tasked with innovating and developing skills in accordance with the Manitoba Curriculum Framework.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related discipline
- Ideally, possess a Manitoba Teaching Certificate or the ability to obtain a limited teaching permit
- Must have authorization to work in Canada
- Minimum of 4 years teaching experience
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to adapt and work collaboratively within a team
Candidates should be prepared to relocate to Poplar River, MB, a remote (fly-in) and friendly community situated on the eastern shore of Lake Winnipeg. Our community consists of 1,300 residents on reserve, and our newly constructed school serves students from Nursery to Grade 12, with an enrollment of approximately 400 students.
