What will your daily responsibilities entail?
The successful applicant will:

Offer strategic direction for teaching and learning across the school.
•
Develop and implement the school’s academic vision in accordance with IB principles and globally recognized best practices.
•
Guarantee continuity and progression throughout the MYP, IGCSE, and Diploma Programme (when applicable).
•
Lead extensive academic enhancement initiatives for the entire institution.
•
Manage curriculum design, evaluation, and documentation in partnership with Heads of Department and Programme Coordinators.
•
Promote inquiry-based, concept-driven learning coupled with high-quality assessment methodologies.
•
Establish and maintain exemplary teaching standards through lesson observations, learning walks, and constructive feedback.
•
Utilize academic data and evidence to inform improvement strategies.
•
Oversee assessment, moderation, grading, and reporting procedures.
•
Champion differentiation, inclusion, and equitable access to learning for all students.
•
Supervise Heads of Department and academic leaders, fostering their professional growth.
•
Encourage academic integrity, resilience, and intellectual curiosity among students.
•
Collaborate with the Head of School and Senior Leadership Team on strategic initiatives.
•
Represent the school in IB networks and external academic settings as needed.
•
Maintain visibility, approachability, and supportiveness, showcasing excellent interpersonal skills and a sense of humor.
•
Demonstrate adaptability, resilience, and creativity in leading change.
•
Actively participate in the wider school community.
What qualifications and experience should you possess?
The preferred candidate will have:
•
In-depth experience in an IB, IGCSE, and/or international school setting.
•
Proven experience in academic leadership (e.g., Head of Department, Programme Coordinator, or a similar position).
•
Experience as an MYP Coordinator and/or IB Coordinator (highly desirable).
•
A comprehensive understanding of IB standards, philosophy, and program implementation.
•
Experience in curriculum development, assessment design, and quality assurance.
•
A bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, along with a recognized teaching qualification.
•
A postgraduate qualification in educational leadership (preferred).
•
Experience in using student performance data to propel school improvement.
•
Fluency in English (both spoken and written).
•
Experience in line management, mentoring, and staff development.
•
A strong dedication to safeguarding and ensuring the wellbeing of students.
•
A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practices.
•
The ability to inspire, challenge, and empower both staff and students.
•
