About This Role

Adcote Matrix International School (AMIS) is a well-established international institution situated in Seremban, Malaysia, about 45 minutes from the capital city, Kuala Lumpur. We provide a comprehensive and innovative curriculum that spans from Early Years and Primary levels, utilizing the Cambridge International Curriculum and IPC, to Secondary levels, including IGCSE and A Level, integrating the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), Cambridge International guidelines, and the National Curriculum for England and Wales.

Position: Head of Boarding

We are seeking an ideal candidate with substantial and recent experience in a leadership position within a Boarding school, both in the UK and internationally. The successful applicant will have exceptional personal and interpersonal skills, alongside a genuine passion for fostering a warm and caring atmosphere to cater to the individual needs of our boarders. The key attributes we are looking for include:

Education Requirements:
- B.Ed or equivalent degree along with a postgraduate teaching qualification.
- Previous training or experience within a school setting.

Role Overview:
The Head of Boarding will report directly to the Head of the International School and will oversee the House Parents responsible for the students' welfare. This role includes coordinating a range of enriching activities for our boarders.

The Head of Boarding is required to live on campus in accommodations provided by the school. This position entails ensuring that the boarding house is well-organized, orderly, and exudes a warm, professional atmosphere. The Head will also manage staff and provide care for students within the House. We are looking for individuals who possess:

- A strong work ethic and professionalism.
- Patience and a solid understanding of child psychology.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in the childcare sector.
- Confidentiality in handling sensitive matters.
- Problem-solving abilities.

Education Requirements:
- B.Ed or equivalent.
- Relevant training or experience in a similar role.
