Chemistry Teacher

Epsom College in Malaysia is on the lookout for a passionate and energetic Chemistry Teacher to join our team. The successful applicant will have a deep enthusiasm for Chemistry and the capability to motivate students in Key Stage 3 Science, Edexcel IGCSE, and Edexcel International A-Level. Your role will involve delivering stimulating and rigorous lessons, aiding students in achieving their maximum potential, and engaging in the broader academic and co-curricular atmosphere of the College.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement high-quality Chemistry lessons tailored to various age groups and abilities, following the learning scheme and course schedules.
- Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and academic excellence.
- Prepare students for their IGCSE and A-Level Chemistry exams, ensuring they attain their highest possible results.
- Monitor students' academic development, providing consistent feedback and assistance.
- Collaborate with fellow Science Department members to create innovative teaching materials and methods.
- Attend departmental meetings, continuous professional development sessions, and school-wide events.
- Contribute to and support the co-curricular and pastoral dimensions of the school.

Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry is essential; a postgraduate teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) is preferred.
- Proven experience teaching Chemistry at Key Stage 3 Science, IGCSE, and A-Level in an international or British curriculum school.
- A true passion for Chemistry and a dedication to student-centered education.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute positively to the school community.
- Familiarity with contemporary teaching methods and the integration of technology in the classroom.
