ASSISTANT HEAD OF PE – Academic PE Lead,KS4 Outcomes

Are you passionate about driving academic success and inspiring excellence in Physical Education? Wollaston School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Head of PE to lead our academic provision at Key Stage 4.

As Academic PE Leader, you will play a pivotal role in raising standards, enhancing teaching quality, and ensuring outstanding outcomes for our students. You’ll lead on assessment, data analysis, and targeted interventions, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve the highest standards. Wollaston School offers a very successful Extra Curricular sporting programme with excellent facilities and passionate PE staff. An ability to coach and lead sports and games is encouraged.

Key responsibilities include:

• Raising student achievement and attainment in Key Stage 4 PE qualifications.
• Coaching and supporting colleagues to deliver excellent teaching and learning.
• Leading on assessment moderation, tracking progress, and coordinating interventions.
• Supporting curriculum planning and exam preparation.

We are looking for:

• An outstanding teacher with QTS and experience of Key Stage 4 PE.
• Proven ability to raise achievement and drive improvement.
• Strong leadership, data analysis, and communication skills.
• A commitment to high expectations, inclusion, and safeguarding.
