Al Basma is a thriving, sought-after ENC School renowned for its high performance. We are in search of a History & Geography teacher to enhance our successful Secondary Humanities department for the upcoming academic year.

Our seven-form entry institution serves 1950 students from FS1 to Y13. In September 2020, we launched a cutting-edge Primary block for Years 3 to 6. We continue to grow at approximately 200 students annually and anticipate reaching full capacity of 2400 within the next three years.

As a BSO school (EduBase No.143834), we offer a UK recognized induction for candidates with QTS through the Early Career Framework, in collaboration with ESP Education.

We adhere to the 2014 National Curriculum of England, along with the updated 2020 Development Matters Framework for EYFS. We utilize GL CAT4 and GL Progress tests for students in Years 4 to 10. Additionally, we offer a variety of GCSE, iGCSE, iAS, and iA Levels from Cambridge, Edexcel, and Pearson exam boards to our older students. We have also begun to introduce various BTEC qualifications to better tailor educational pathways.

The school received BSO (British Schools Overseas) accreditation in May 2016 during its second operational year and has continually improved, achieving a good rating with numerous outstanding features in May 2022. Since January 2017, the school has consistently attained Band A ratings in ADEK Irtiq'aa inspections. Most recently, in February 2022, we solidified our Very Good ADEK rating with many outstanding features.

• An internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in History or related fields and QTS or equivalent.

• An internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in History or a closely associated subject, along with an internationally recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE or PGDE in History with any subject specialization and QTS or equivalent.

or

• An internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in any field, accompanied by an internationally recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE or PGDE in History with QTS or equivalent and one year of teaching experience in History.

Note that two supporting references (including the most recent employer) and a police clearance certificate, ACRO, or DBS issued within the last three months must be submitted by successful candidates.
