About This Role

Benenden Bilingual School Guangzhou is on the lookout for qualified applicants for the position of Teacher of PE for the academic year 2025-2026. As a Teacher of PE, you will be integral in providing all students with access to a well-rounded curriculum while ensuring a high standard of education that enhances learning outcomes and achievements. You will lead all facets of teaching and learning, working closely with a committed team of professional educators.

Key Responsibilities:
Lesson Planning: Create and execute engaging lesson plans that cater to the unique learning needs of each student, ensuring their academic growth.
Effective Teaching: Provide high-quality instruction in your assigned classes, employing a variety of teaching methods and technologies to stimulate and engage students.
Assessment and Feedback: Assess and grade student work in a timely and accurate manner, following departmental assessment guidelines. Generate reports as needed and assign tasks according to school standards.
Constructive Communication: Offer clear and constructive feedback to students, parents, and guardians, nurturing a supportive educational atmosphere.
Additional Support: Provide supplementary assistance to students outside of regular class hours, aiding in both the reinforcement of knowledge and opportunities for advanced learning. Engage in ongoing professional development sessions to exchange best practices.
Wellbeing Monitoring: Stay attentive to the social-emotional wellbeing of students, tracking their academic performance and guiding them in setting and achieving suitable goals.
Safeguarding and Development: Contribute to the safeguarding and promotion of health, safety, and discipline, playing a role in the academic and personal growth of students.
Progress Monitoring: Continuously monitor and report on the academic progress of your assigned class/group, maintaining open lines of communication with parents.
Effective Parent Communication: Actively engage with class parents, providing updates and fostering a collaborative partnership to enhance student success.

Typical General Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Typical Education:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in pedagogy, teacher education, or related fields.
Relevant teaching qualifications and certifications.
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in K12 education.

Abilities, Skills, and Knowledge:
Strong educational and teaching knowledge to assist in curriculum development and design.
Good understanding, expertise, and awareness of students’ social, emotional, and learning needs.

Compensation
