About This Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and inspiring subject teacher who resonates with the academic and holistic values upheld at premier British International Schools. A genuine passion for creating an enchanting learning environment, delivering tailored pastoral support for each student, and offering a diverse and fulfilling enrichment curriculum is essential. While prior overseas experience is not mandatory, a strong desire to engage in a truly international community is required. Jerudong International School promotes equal opportunities for all staff, and we actively encourage applications from individuals regardless of any protected characteristics under the 2010 UK Equality Act.

The motto of Jerudong International School’s students is “Togetherness and Community.” This principle is embodied in our Polio Points reward system, where students from Year 7 to 13 are encouraged to exceed expectations in their actions. The rewards are based on our six key student aims: Leadership, Resilience, Communication, Thinking, Engagement, and Integration. Each positive action earns students a Polio Point, contributing to the international End Polio movement and supporting donations to UNICEF.

We are committed to evolving into a sustainable school community, with the Green Flag Eco-School initiative playing a pivotal role. Our goal is to foster awareness of our impact locally and globally in every aspect of school life. We motivate students to extend their thinking beyond the school grounds and consider the global implications of their actions. The Sustainable Development Goals serve as a framework to create a fairer, more peaceful, and sustainable world. Our mission is to inspire students to become socially responsible global citizens, equipped to address the challenges of the 21st century.

To apply, please fill out the application form on the TES website, where you can also find additional details about the position. Ensure that your profile is complete and includes an updated CV. This should feature a recent photograph and full contact information (including email addresses) for three professional references, one of which must be your current or most recent headteacher. A covering letter is also required. Please note that incomplete profiles, missing covering letters, or failure to submit your CVs through TES will lead to your application being declined. JIS is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, expecting all staff and volunteers to uphold this commitment. References will be requested before any final interviews. All positions are subject to appropriate vetting processes and satisfactory Criminal Background Checks or equivalent for the previous 10 years of employment history.

The deadline for applications is Friday, 3rd April 2026, though early submissions are encouraged. Initial and final interviews will take place via Google Meet.

If you have not been contacted by Friday, 17th April 2026, please assume that you have not been shortlisted. The School appreciates your interest.

The successful candidate must be ready to begin work in August 2026.
