We are on the lookout for a passionate and effective Primary Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join our team starting in August 2026. This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of our Primary School, where you will deliver exceptional PE lessons and inspire students throughout their primary years to cultivate a passion for sports, physical activity, and healthy living. The ideal candidate will be tasked with creating engaging, well-structured lessons that foster students’ physical abilities, teamwork, confidence, and overall wellbeing.

You will be responsible for crafting an engaging and inclusive learning atmosphere that motivates participation, resilience, and enjoyment in sports. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Design and implement high-quality, engaging Physical Education lessons that align with the primary curriculum, ensuring students’ physical development and skills progress.


Foster a positive, inclusive, and active learning environment that encourages participation and supports healthy lifestyles.


Evaluate, track, and document student progress in physical skills and development.


Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, resilience, and confidence through sports and physical activities.


Assist and engage in school sports events, competitions, and extracurricular activities.


Effectively communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and wellbeing.


Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to school-wide initiatives and events.


Participate in the pastoral life of the school, promoting student wellbeing and positive behaviour.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


A recognized teaching qualification with experience in teaching Physical Education at the Primary School level.


Extensive knowledge of physical education, sports, and child physical development.


A strong command of English, accompanied by excellent communication skills.


A commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive participation in sports.


A collaborative and proactive mindset, eager to contribute to the broader life of the school, including sports programs and extracurricular activities.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
