In your role as Head of the Social Sciences Department, you will oversee and guide the Economics teaching team while providing engaging lessons that adhere to the Cambridge A Level curriculum. Your responsibilities will include curriculum development, mentoring staff, assessing student performance, and cultivating a positive educational environment that encourages academic achievement.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or a related discipline (minimum requirement)
- A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in secondary/high school environments
- Demonstrated proficiency in teaching the Cambridge A Level Economics curriculum
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience in managing or coordinating teams preferred
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Capability to create innovative lesson plans that engage a diverse range of learners
- Proficiency in using educational technology for teaching and assessment
