Established in 2017, Majestic International College (MIC) has distinguished itself as a CIS member school and a respected private high school offering an English-language curriculum. Basic requirements for candidates:
1. A bachelor’s degree in a related field (graduate degree preferred).
2. Eligibility for British Columbia teacher certification.
3. A minimum of two years of teaching experience in Canadian schools, North American curricula, or international schools is preferred.
4. A professional demeanor in teaching that aligns with MIC’s mission and values, emphasizing collaboration, perseverance, and a sense of responsibility.
5. Preferred experience working with enthusiastic and motivated secondary students.
6. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and willingness to engage in school-based in-service activities.
Employment Benefits for a 2-year contract period:
Compensation Package: Aligned with the B.C. salary grid, based on relevant teaching experience with teenagers, with a pre-tax annual package ranging from CAD 52,000 to CAD 80,000.
Welfare Package:
1. Flight allowance:
- Option 1: CAD 1,800 per academic year for flight allowance.
- Option 2: Reimbursement for one round trip (at the beginning and end of the contract period) between the home country and China; a CAD 1,800 allowance will be released between the first and second year of the contract.
2. A monthly allowance of 3,000 CNY for housing and transportation if living off-campus, or a free modern on-campus apartment fully furnished.
3. A daily meal allowance of 15 CNY, totaling approximately 330 CNY per month.
4. Paid summer and winter vacations, along with all Chinese holidays and Christmas holidays.
5. Health insurance is provided.
6. Work VISA is provided.
7. A renewal bonus of CAD 2,000 for each academic year.
8. Relocation fee of 1,000 CNY.
