Situated in the southern region of Ras Al Khaimah within the Al Hamra community, RAK Academy – Al Hamra is an expanding primary and lower secondary institution that offers an adapted UK National Curriculum from Pre-K to Grade 8, alongside UAE MOE subjects. Our newly established secondary school will welcome its first cohort for Grades 6 to 8 in August 2026. We hold accreditation from the British Schools Overseas (BSO), aligning our standards with leading international British schools, and are equipped to deliver the ECT induction for teachers.
The Role (Founding Position):
RAK Academy – Al Hamra is on the lookout for a motivated, talented, and inspiring Secondary Arabic B Teacher to play a pivotal role in creating a high-quality Arabic B program in our new secondary school. This foundational position presents a unique chance to influence curriculum design, departmental ethos, pathways for language acquisition, and teaching excellence in a school set to launch in August 2026.
As a founding educator, the Secondary Arabic B Teacher will:
•
Deliver dynamic and effective Arabic B lessons for Grades 6–8
•
Assist in the development and execution of the Arabic B curriculum
•
Encourage robust language acquisition, communication skills, and appreciation for Arab culture throughout the school
•
Support enrichment activities, including reading initiatives, language clubs, and cultural events
•
Collaborate with the Head of Arabic and primary Arabic leads to ensure seamless continuity and progression
•
Participate in curriculum planning, assessments, and departmental growth
•
Teach across various key stages as the school evolves

Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Studies or a related field.
•
Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
•
Knowledge of the Ministry of Education curriculum for Arabic B.
•
Strong understanding of effective teaching and learning practices.
•
High proficiency in utilizing technology to enhance teaching and learning.
•
Ability to engage, motivate, and support students.
•
Reflective practitioner with creative thinking and innovative capabilities.
•
Positive and enthusiastic team member with a growth mindset.
•
Willingness to be actively involved in extracurricular activities.
•
Excellent communication skills.
•
Experience teaching GCSE/IGCSE/A-Level courses (Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply).
•
Trained in the UK Curriculum or International Baccalaureate.
•
Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes.
•
Experience in contributing to or leading curriculum development.
