Curriculum Overview

Doha British School adheres to the National Curriculum of England, tailored to embrace Qatar’s culture, heritage, and values. The DBS curriculum, across all levels, is crafted to be engaging, comprehensive, and challenging, integrating academic rigor with elements of leadership, creativity, and global citizenship.

Ideal candidates should possess:

A recognized educational degree, such as a Bachelor's in Education or an equivalent qualification.

•
A certified teaching qualification like a PGCE or QTS, coupled with an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE should be backed by a relevant bachelor's degree).

A Master’s degree in Education or a similar field (preferred).

•
Leadership Qualifications: Advanced leadership training or qualifications such as NPQSL (National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership) or equivalent (desirable).

Outstanding subject expertise, with significant experience in teaching the National Curriculum of England.

•
A minimum of four years of teaching experience (international experience is beneficial but not mandatory).

Experience in teaching IGCSE, AS/A Level, and the International Baccalaureate (IB).

A demonstrated history of delivering high-quality teaching and learning.

•
A strong dedication to enhancing the broader school community through extracurricular involvement.

This position is set to begin in September 2026; however, staff are expected to arrive in-country by mid-August for orientation and induction.
