We are looking for a passionate and highly skilled Teacher of Art and Design to join our team for the upcoming academic year. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic and innovative department in our Senior School. The position demands a confident approach to teaching Art at least to iGCSE level, as well as a genuine enthusiasm for educating students in Art and Design during Key Stage 3.

You will create and deliver captivating lessons that foster creativity, technical proficiency, critical thinking, and a deep appreciation of visual culture. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Deliver meticulously planned and engaging Art and Design lessons that align with Key Stage 3 and iGCSE specifications, as well as the academic expectations of the school.


Encourage creativity, experimentation, visual literacy, and technical skills through high-quality teaching and learning experiences.


Prepare students thoroughly for internal and external assessments, including iGCSE coursework requirements.


Assess, track, and report on student progress with precision and consistency, upholding high academic standards.


Contribute to the development of the curriculum and the continuous enhancement of schemes of work, resources, and assessment methods.


Collaborate and support colleagues within the Art and Design Department and across the faculty, fostering strong teaching practices and ongoing professional development.


Implement inclusive teaching strategies that accommodate all students, including those with diverse learning needs.


Enrich the creative co-curricular programme through clubs, exhibitions, competitions, workshops, and other enrichment activities.


Play a role in the pastoral care of students, promoting their wellbeing, self-confidence, and a lasting appreciation for the arts.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


A recognized teaching qualification and a degree in Art, Art and Design, or a closely related creative discipline.


Experience in teaching Art and Design at both Key Stage 3 and iGCSE levels.


Strong subject knowledge across various media, processes, and artistic methodologies.


A fervor for inspiring creativity and guiding students in finding their unique artistic voice.


Excellent organizational, communication, and classroom management abilities.


A reflective and innovative mindset, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development.


Experience in an international school setting or with international curricula is highly desirable.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
