About This Role
Yas School is actively looking to hire a dedicated KG Arabic Homeroom Teacher to join our esteemed team in August 2026 for the academic year 2026-2027, or earlier if possible.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading government school in Abu Dhabi, dedicated to merging Emirati cultural principles with contemporary global standards to provide an outstanding educational experience for our students. We seek a candidate who is enthusiastic about embodying our school’s values while celebrating the rich culture and history of the UAE. At Yas School, we implement the Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum, with a strong emphasis on inclusive education, enrichment, and preparing learners for the future. Established in 2015, we are the largest single-campus K-12 government institution serving over 1750 students, both boys and girls, on our expansive grounds.
We are looking for a skilled educator with experience in UK or US curricula, and preferably familiarity with the UAE Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum.
In your role at Yas School, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons that facilitate students’ academic advancement, personal development, and overall well-being. Your contribution will be vital in empowering students to achieve their fullest potential and equipping them to succeed as competitive global citizens while honoring and promoting the UAE’s heritage and Emirati identity.
As a teacher, you will nurture strong relationships and maintain open lines of communication with students, parents, and colleagues, ensuring that academic and behavioral standards align with the school’s ethos and policies. You will be dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning atmosphere where every student is motivated to succeed.
The ideal candidate should:
• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a Post Graduate Diploma in Education in the relevant area.
• A Master’s Degree in Education/Educational Leadership or a related field would be advantageous.
• Demonstrate proficiency in English (evidenced by a minimum IELTS score of 6 or equivalent).
• Bilingual skills in English and Arabic are highly preferred.
• Hold a UAE Certified Teaching License or equivalent, or be in the process of obtaining one.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience.
The deadline for applications is Sunday, 31st May 2026, but we will review applications as they come in, and Yas School reserves the right to make an appointment sooner.
Please note that applicants are encouraged to review the attached job description.
When applying, make sure to upload your current CV and a recent passport-sized photo.
