About This Role
1- Employ various inquiry methods (such as open, structured, and guided) to spark students' curiosity and equip them with the skills necessary to construct their own understanding, fostering autonomy as lifelong learners.
2- Instruct on conceptual knowledge across and beyond subject boundaries to help learners grasp complex and overarching ideas. Thoughtfully design questions, explorations, and provocations to enhance conceptual comprehension while linking content, skills, and concepts.
3- Design real-world learning opportunities for students to assimilate new information by relating it to their personal experiences (local context) and the broader world (global context), thereby cultivating international awareness.
4- Collaborate intentionally and continuously with colleagues to create interactive and cooperative learning experiences that promote effective dialogue and feedback, utilizing data-driven insights to adaptively address students' needs.
5- Work alongside colleagues to plan for diverse student needs by boosting self-esteem, valuing existing knowledge, scaffolding, and extending the learning experience of all students while providing meaningful, respectful, and challenging tasks.
6- Strategically plan, organize, and execute ongoing assessments with students and colleagues to monitor, document, measure, and report on learning. Utilize data from “Assessment as and for Learning” to inform and adjust teaching methods.
7- Teach with a focus on approaches to learning skills by identifying the specific skills and dispositions intended for instruction. Explicitly convey the strategies and techniques learners use to process information, fostering the transfer of these skills and self-regulation.
8- Seamlessly integrate technology to enrich students' learning experiences. Continuously reflect on the rationale behind technology use and maintain digital integrity.
9- Foster and enhance students’ language development by activating prior knowledge and building background understanding, providing scaffolding for language acquisition, extending language use, and affirming their identity.
10- Plan to empower learners to internalize sustainability principles and navigate complex systems, enabling them to initiate or advocate for actions that restore and maintain ecosystem health while promoting equity and envisioning a sustainable future.
11- Engage actively in professional inquiry (such as PLCs, action research, workshops, study groups, collaborative partnerships, and data teams) with the goal of consistently reflecting on practices to enhance learning for all students.
12- Reflect on personal beliefs regarding professional responsibilities to act with integrity and transparency, forge connections and build learning communities, and honor and promote organizational, local, and global cultures.
