Position Overview:
• Design and deliver stimulating English lessons for students across various year levels (Year 7-13), including MYP, IGCSE, and DP.
• Work in collaboration with the Head of English and a team of 12 educators to develop and share innovative teaching units and resources.
• Utilize inquiry-based learning techniques to promote student engagement and understanding.
• Teach a diverse range of courses, including IB MYP, IGCSE First and Second Language English, IGCSE World Literature, and IBDP English A and B.
• Provide supervision for students enrolled in self-taught IBDP Languages as necessary.
• Cultivate a collaborative work atmosphere that contributes to the department’s positive culture and outstanding examination outcomes.
• Engage in the co-curricular programme, interacting with students beyond classroom hours.
General Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor’s degree in any field accompanied by a Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma in Education (PGCE/PGDE).
• Familiarity with the MYP and its core principles is advantageous.
• Newly qualified teachers or those with teaching experience in a recognized educational institution.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The iPGCE (assessment only) does not qualify for Teacher Registration status from the Hong Kong Education Bureau, which is mandatory for teaching at an ESF school.
