About This Role
Due to a rise in student enrollment, Al Rabeeh Academy is looking to hire a dedicated and experienced Secondary Science Teacher (suitable for ECT Teachers) who can effectively teach KS3 and KS4 up to GCSE, starting immediately.
Al Rabeeh Academy is a modern, purpose-built institution that commenced operations in August 2017 and is part of a growing educational network. Since 1979, the Al Rabeeh name has been recognized throughout the city for its commitment to high-quality education and pastoral support. Our school is affiliated with the British Schools in the Middle East (BSME), offering fantastic opportunities for inter-school competitions, tournaments, and professional development.
As a bilingual private school serving students from FS1 to Year 13, Al Rabeeh Academy follows the English National Curriculum alongside Arabic. We are searching for candidates who are enthusiastic team players, possessing the energy, commitment, and passion to contribute to the growth of Al Rabeeh Academy, with potential for internal advancement as the academy expands.
Successful candidates should understand the ethos and values of Al Rabeeh Academy, which has a significant number of Arabic-speaking students. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, capable of fostering open dialogues with students, parents, and colleagues. Applicants should exemplify leadership qualities and actively participate in the Academy’s extra-curricular activities program.
Applicants must be fluent in English, possess a relevant science degree and PGCE, and have at least two years of teaching experience in schools that implement the National Curriculum of England.
Candidates must demonstrate:
• Strong subject knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Familiarity with current UK educational initiatives and developments
• A passion and ambition to help each student excel in their learning
• The capability to teach KS3 and KS4, with experience delivering Science up to GCSE
• A proven record of enhancing student attainment and achievement
• High levels of student engagement, challenge, and progress
• The ability to support creative learning and focus on developing innovative 21st-century learning environments
• Confidence in utilizing IT to enhance and extend students' learning experiences
• Experience in analyzing data from internal assessments, standardized tests, and external evaluations to monitor student progress
• Experience working with EAL students is preferred, but not required
• Experience as a form tutor is preferred, but not required
