About This Role
Due to a rise in student enrollment, Al Rabeeh Academy is looking to hire a dedicated and experienced Secondary Science Teacher (suitable for ECT teachers) who is capable of teaching KS3 and KS4 up to GCSE, with an immediate start date.
Al Rabeeh Academy is a stunning, purpose-designed institution that opened its doors in August 2017 and is part of an expanding network of schools. The Al Rabeeh name has been a hallmark of high-quality education and pastoral care in the city since 1979. As a bilingual private school serving students from FS1 to Year 13, Al Rabeeh Academy delivers the English National Curriculum alongside Arabic. We are seeking candidates who are committed team players with the enthusiasm, energy, and passion to contribute to the development of Al Rabeeh Academy, where internal promotion opportunities may arise as the academy expands.
Candidates must possess an understanding of the ethos and values of Al Rabeeh Academy, which has a significant population of Arabic-speaking students. The ideal applicant will be an effective communicator, adept at fostering open lines of communication with students, staff, and parents. Applicants should lead by example and actively participate in the Academy’s extracurricular activities program.
To be considered, applicants must be fluent in English, hold a relevant science degree and a PGCE, and have at least two years of experience teaching in schools that implement the National Curriculum of England.
Applicants should demonstrate:
• Comprehensive subject knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Familiarity with current UK initiatives and developments
• A passion and commitment to ensuring every student thrives in their learning
• The ability to teach KS3 and KS4, with experience delivering Science up to GCSE
• A proven track record of enhancing the attainment and achievement of all students
• High levels of student engagement, challenge, and progress
• Capability to support creative learning and focus on developing 21st-century learning environments and innovation skills
• Confidence in utilizing IT to enhance and extend students’ learning experiences
• Experience in leveraging data from internal assessments, standardized tests, and external assessments to monitor student progress
• Experience working with EAL students is preferred but not mandatory
• Experience as a form tutor is preferred but not mandatory
