About the Role
The Achievement and Support department is integral to the college, and serving as a Learning Mentor provides an opportunity to collaborate with an experienced team and positively impact students' lives.
Your Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this role includes implementing support strategies tailored to meet the individual learning and social needs of students, as well as assisting with their academic pursuits. Additionally, you will extend support to all students at the College, such as helping them with revision techniques, time management, and essay organization.
What we are looking for
We seek to hire a Learning Mentor to fill a temporary vacancy for the current postholder.
Ideal candidates will have experience working with students with special educational needs and must possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate initiative, and maintain a calm demeanor.
This position is full time (37 hours per week), term time only (plus 2 additional days) and is temporary for 12 months. Working hours will be from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday, and 8:30 am to 4:00 pm on Fridays.
