Lab Technician – August 2025 start

Arcadia Global School Al Furjan is looking to hire a skilled and proactive Lab Technician to commence in August 2025. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and organizing laboratory experiments and demonstrations for students, ensuring that all materials and equipment are ready and in proper working order.

Requirements:
- A degree with a specialization in Sciences and Chemical procedures.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of laboratory equipment operation and maintenance, data analysis, and report writing.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a British international school or a comparable educational setting.
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and chemical handling.
- Experience in setting up new science facilities is advantageous but not essential.

Core Responsibilities and Expectations:

- Ensure all laboratory equipment, instruments, and tools are properly maintained and calibrated to comply with safety and quality standards, including performing routine maintenance and resolving issues as they arise.
- Work alongside teaching staff to create and develop laboratory experiments and demonstrations that align with the curriculum, fostering student engagement and learning.
- Assist with the procurement and management of laboratory supplies and materials, which includes ordering, stocking items, tracking inventory levels, and monitoring expiration dates.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to remain updated on advancements in laboratory science and education, and share knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
- Consistently demonstrate, model, and promote the AGS Values.
