Contract: Permanent, term time only plus inset days (39 weeks per year)

Hours: 35 hours per week - 8:00 to 16:00 daily with two short breaks for lunch.

Responsible to: Cover Department

Salary: KSD (FTE £27,904) – PTE £23,007.72 per annum (for working TTO and 35 hours per week)

Start Date: 20th April 2026 onwards

We are thrilled to announce an opportunity for a Cover Supervisor to become part of our team.

The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in classroom settings and will be welcomed into a professional, enthusiastic, and highly regarded team of four.

The primary responsibility of the Cover Supervisor is to oversee entire classes during the temporary absence of teachers. It is crucial to ensure a safe and stimulating workspace for students, enabling them to engage with and complete assignments left by the absent teacher.

The individual in this role will be tasked with responding to general inquiries from students, but will not be required to engage in lesson planning, preparation, instruction, or assessment of student progress and development. Additionally, managing classroom behavior in line with the School's behavior policy will be essential. It is vital to collaborate with students to maximize their learning experience and facilitate their educational growth.

During periods without lessons that need coverage, Cover Supervisors are encouraged to take the initiative to support teaching and learning throughout the school. This may involve taking on various roles, including but not limited to: assisting in lessons/Enrichment Activities, Registration, Library duties, PHSE Activities, supervising School day trips, and Examination Invigilation.
