About This Role

Teacher of Business Studies and Economics
Capital School Bahrain – British Curriculum International School

Capital School Bahrain seeks a passionate and skilled Teacher of Business Studies and Economics to join our growing secondary team.

The successful candidate will teach Business Studies and/or Economics at Key Stages 4 and 5, aiming for outstanding student performance in IGCSE/GCSE and A-Level exams, while also playing a key role in enhancing our Sixth Form programs. This role is ideal for an experienced educator with a robust understanding of the subjects and a background in post-16 education.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Conducting high-quality lessons in Business Studies and Economics for KS4 and KS5
• Designing engaging and well-organized lessons that align with examination requirements
• Preparing students effectively for GCSE/IGCSE, A-Level, and vocational pathways
• Leveraging assessment data to inform teaching practices and support student progress
• Promoting high standards, independence, and critical thinking among students
• Working collaboratively within the Humanities/Business faculty and the wider school community

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent credential
• In-depth knowledge of Business Studies and/or Economics
• Experience teaching KS4 and KS5 students
• A background in A-Level Business and/or Economics
• Preferably, experience with BTEC Business
• Strong classroom management abilities and effective teaching methods
• A commitment to inclusive education and the wellbeing of students

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
