We are on the lookout for enthusiastic Secondary Teachers for Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, who are ready to foster student-led learning and make a meaningful impact.

NORD ANGLIA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, HONG KONG is currently seeking a COMPUTING TEACHER to join our Secondary team and enhance the teaching and learning experience in the Computing subject area.

The role:

As a qualified Teacher of Computing, your key responsibilities will include:

- Leading initiatives that enhance student engagement and school spirit.
- Supporting extracurricular activities and school events.
- Strengthening parent engagement through effective communication and progress updates.
- Delivering engaging, inclusive, and impactful lessons.
- Encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and design thinking.
- Utilizing data-driven approaches to cater to diverse learning needs.
- Incorporating digital tools to enrich learning experiences.
- Serving as a Form Tutor and contributing to the IB curriculum.
- Developing and executing curriculum-aligned lesson plans.
- Ensuring thorough assessment and timely feedback.
- Participating in curriculum innovation and quality assurance.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development.
- Reflecting on practices to enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Upholding school values and contributing to a positive school culture.

The Successful Candidate will have:

- A Bachelor of Education degree or a relevant degree with PGCE in the Computing subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- Experience as a qualified teacher in a UK and/or international setting.
- Relevant training in Computing or a similar qualification.
- At least 2 years of teaching experience.
- Knowledge of student learning and development in relation to Computing practices.
- Awareness of contemporary educational developments in Computing.
- A record of understanding wider educational trends.
- Experience in raising achievement levels among all student groups.
- Skills in planning, delivering, monitoring, and assessing lessons within the school curriculum.
- Familiarity with the English National Curriculum and related subject knowledge.
- Knowledge of assessment and reporting processes.
- Understanding of IGCSE, A Level, and IB syllabus, including examination arrangements.
- Ability to seamlessly integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance student learning.
- A current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries of residence.
- Compliance with visa regulations for employment.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all students, with a readiness to undertake relevant child protection training as necessary.

Selection Process

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
