• Cultivating an environment that promotes exceptional Learning and Teaching
• Establishing clear educational objectives and outlining methods for instruction and assessment
• Designing engaging tasks that challenge students and maintain their interest

• Providing structured lessons that maintain momentum, motivation, and challenge
• Utilizing assessments effectively to cover the curriculum

• Ensuring effective teaching while maximizing the use of available time
• Creating a conducive learning atmosphere in line with academy protocols, promoting punctuality, behavior standards, homework, and overall performance
• Ensuring students acquire and reinforce the knowledge, skills, and understanding relevant to the subject matter
• Efficiently deploying classroom support resources
• Evaluating the achievement of learning objectives and using this information to refine teaching practices
• Grading and tracking students' work, setting targets for their progress
• Leveraging performance data to enhance planning and ensure Learning and Teaching consistently 'adds value'
• Systematically assessing and documenting students' progress, maintaining records to confirm comprehension, monitor strengths and areas for improvement, inform planning, and recognize student achievement levels
• Conducting assessments for students as required by examination boards and in accordance with departmental and academy protocols
• Participating in subject-specific or academy-wide initiatives and developing clear targets and success criteria for their enhancement or maintenance
• Contributing to the overarching vision of the academy.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations and academy policies regarding safe working practices and equal opportunity laws
• Participating in annual training related to child protection, safeguarding, health and safety, and any other training pertinent to academy improvement or performance management
• Maintaining a solid understanding of teachers' professional responsibilities and legal obligations
• Consistently operating within the academy's established policies and practices
• Having a thorough knowledge of subjects or specializations necessary for effective instruction
• Fostering effective working relationships and setting a commendable example through personal presentation and professional conduct
• Striving to provide every child with the opportunity to achieve their potential and meet high standards
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure shared and effective use of resources for the benefit of the academy, department, and students
• Engaging in the communal life of the academy through active participation in meetings and management systems that support leadership and administration
• Involvement in marketing and outreach activities such as Open Evenings, Parent-Teacher Consultations, and collaborative events with partner academies
• Taking ownership of personal professional development and responsibilities in alignment with academy policies and practices.

• A Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field with a Special Education qualification, or a PGCE with 40 hours of SEN Teacher training completed.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of teaching experience.
• Experience with the British curriculum is essential.
• A respectful attitude towards all members of the school community, regardless of their position, gender, age, or ethnic background.
• A positive, solution-oriented outlook in professional settings.

A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police clearance is required.

Compensation
