The role
The successful candidate will:

Teach Secondary History across Key Stages 3 to 5, including IGCSE and A Level
•
Design and deliver engaging, inclusive, and academically challenging lessons that promote excellent student progress
•
Encourage curiosity, critical thought, and strong disciplinary literacy in the classroom
•
Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the History curriculum, assessments, and teaching methodologies
•
Support students in a pastoral capacity and engage fully in the life of the Secondary School
•
Positively impact the broader co-curricular program and the school community
•
Collaborate with colleagues across various departments and phases to support whole-school initiatives
•
Uphold and exemplify the school's values, ethos, and commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing
The successful candidate will have
•
A relevant degree and a recognized teaching qualification
•
Proven experience teaching History within the British or Cambridge curriculum
•
Familiarity with Cambridge IGCSE History and, ideally, A Level History
•
Strong subject expertise and a demonstrated history of effective teaching practices
•
High expectations for student achievement, behavior, and presentation
•
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
•
A dedication to inclusive education and the wellbeing of all students
•
Registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), or eligibility to obtain TSC registration before commencing the role
•
A readiness to engage fully in the broader life of the school
