About This Role

International Sharing School Madeira, situated in Portugal, is a dynamic and multicultural institution dedicated to delivering exceptional education through the International Baccalaureate (IB) programs. We are in search of a committed DP Economics and Global Politics Teacher and MYP Individuals and Societies educator to become part of our Social Sciences department. This role presents a wonderful chance to instruct IB Diploma Programme and MYP students at the high/secondary school level.

Job Description:
In the capacity of a DP Economics and Global Politics and MYP Individuals and Societies teacher, you will deliver stimulating lessons that encourage critical thinking and global awareness among students. You will guide learners in deepening their comprehension of economic theories, political frameworks, and worldwide issues, while equipping them for success in the IB examinations and the MYP eAssessment.

Skills and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Political Science, or a related discipline (minimum requirement)
- A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience with the IB DP curriculum is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of the IB DP Economics syllabus; familiarity with Global Politics is crucial
- Capability to create lesson plans that address diverse learning needs and foster inquiry-based learning
- Exceptional communication skills in English (both oral and written)
- Proficiency in utilizing educational technology tools for instructional purposes
