About King’s College Riyadh:
King’s College Riyadh marks the first UK private school brand to set up a branch in Saudi Arabia, collaborating closely with King’s College UK, which has a rich history of educating students in the UK and internationally for over 140 years.

Since its inception in 2021, King’s has swiftly expanded to Year 7 by August 2025, with future plans to extend to Year 13 (age 18), allowing students to complete their entire King’s education in Riyadh. Unlike many international schools in the area, King’s is fully co-educational from Pre-School through Year 7.

Role Overview:

Our Class Teachers are integral to delivering the core curriculum to their assigned classes. At full capacity, each year group functions as a collaborative, close-knit team, ensuring that all students receive consistently high-quality instruction and that every teacher is supported within a well-resourced department.

The selected candidate will collaborate with subject-specialist teachers who enrich the curriculum while contributing to planning and syllabus development. Each class is also supported by a dedicated Teaching Assistant.

Teaching and Learning


Facilitate a diverse, balanced, and engaging EYFS curriculum in alignment with school schemes of work.


Plan long-, medium-, and short-term learning sequences that promote excellent student progress.


Design stimulating, well-resourced, and differentiated lessons that cater to the needs of all learners.


Uphold high standards of behavior, utilizing the school’s rewards and sanctions appropriately.


Deliver regular written and verbal feedback to students and assist them in acting on it.


Assess, document, and report on student progress effectively, using data to guide planning.


Maintain close communication with parents through meetings, written correspondence, and reports.


Support SEN and EAL students in accordance with school policies.


Fully engage in the school’s extracurricular and activity programs.

Pastoral Care


Oversee students during breaks and lunchtimes according to duty schedules.


Assist in students’ physical, emotional, and social development.


Encourage courtesy, good manners, and high standards of hygiene.


Cultivate positive relationships among students and adults.


Monitor and support student attendance, punctuality, and safeguarding needs.

Management & Professional Duties


Adhere to and enact all school policies and procedures.


Create a purposeful, safe, and well-organized learning environment with high-quality displays.


Collaborate effectively with Teaching Assistants and colleagues across the school.


Foster strong home–school partnerships and maintain professional communication with parents.


Attend staff briefings, meetings, CPD sessions, and school events as required.


Accompany students on educational trips and support school activities beyond regular school hours.


Cover lessons when necessary.


Maintain high standards of dress and conduct in line with local cultural expectations.

Safeguarding



Adhere to all school safeguarding policies and procedures.


Prioritize student safety and wellbeing at all times.


Participate fully in safeguarding training and report concerns promptly.

The ideal candidate will possess:


A Bachelor’s Degree/PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification/Qualified Teacher Status. (Essential)


A minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience (Essential).


Experience with the UK National Curriculum or EYFS (Essential).


A demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students of all abilities (Essential).


Strong classroom management and pastoral skills (Essential).


Experience working with EAL learners (Desirable).


Familiarity with the expectations of UK independent and international schools (Desirable).
