About This Role

An exceptional opportunity awaits you to take on the role of Maths Teacher (Secondary) at Reigate Grammar International School Kuala Lumpur. This position is crucial for the successful expansion and development of our newly established campus in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We are a fully co-educational school catering to both Malaysian and International students from Early Years to Sixth Form. As an inclusive day school, our aim is to excel within the Malaysian international education sector.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Teacher of Maths to become part of our expanding team. The primary duties associated with this role will involve:


Delivering Maths instruction at GCSE and A Level;


Teaching lower secondary Maths;


Supporting departmental activities as necessary;


Contributing to the administrative tasks of the department;


Collaborating with a unified departmental team and fully participating in departmental responsibilities;


Promoting and fostering the study of Maths at RGSKL.

Qualifications

Essential



A UK or internationally recognized teaching qualification (such as PGCE, QTS, or an equivalent).


A bachelor’s degree in Maths or a related discipline.

Experience:

Essential



Experience in a British Secondary School, British International Secondary Schools, or working with the British curriculum.


A minimum of 2 years teaching experience with proven subject expertise.

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge:


Strong knowledge of the subjects being taught along with a comprehensive understanding of GCSE/A-level criteria.


Proficient classroom management skills, capable of effectively managing class dynamics and resources to foster a positive and inclusive educational atmosphere.


Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to engage and motivate students, as well as collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.


Adept in assessing student progress, utilizing data to guide instruction, and delivering constructive feedback to address individual learning needs.


Willingness to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate various learning preferences.
