About This Role

SNA-HCMC is seeking a qualified MYP/DP Mathematics Teacher to begin in AUGUST 2026. Applicants should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience teaching the MYP. Participation in Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) will be expected as we enhance our CCA program.

It is important for candidates to note that SNA-HCMC is a CIS member and holds full accreditation from WASC, placing the utmost importance on safeguarding and child protection during the recruitment process. In alignment with this commitment, SNA-HCMC adheres to the UN Convention on the Rights of The Child. All candidates MUST be prepared to provide suitable background checks. If candidates do not have these checks, we highly suggest utilizing the ISS-Schroles 'verify' facility, as applications cannot be processed without these documents.

Key Responsibilities:
• Understand, respect, and comply with SNA school policies, practices, and procedures.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and others.
• Embrace and advocate for IB teaching and learning approaches (ATL’s) in daily instruction.
• Assist students with the MYP/DP exhibition when applicable.
• Engage in collaborative meetings across grade levels and curricular areas to refine the written and taught curriculum.
• Dedicate oneself to continuous personal professional development.
• Regularly communicate and collaborate with department members regarding planning, assessments, parent interactions, subject organization, and classroom management, including behavior expectations and routines.
• Work with other staff to enhance social and emotional awareness within the school community.
• Actively participate in behavioral management and pastoral care for homeroom and other class groups.
• Attend staff meetings and contribute positively.
• Supervise student breaks as needed.
• Organize class activities as required.
• Keep current records of assessments, attendance, planning, reports, and communications with parents using ManageBac and Classdojo/Seesaw.
• Build relationships with the parent community to keep them informed about student progress.
• Serve as a resource and support for new staff members regarding curriculum, schedules, and procedures.
• Participate in school events and complete additional tasks assigned by the Line Supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics along with a recognized teaching certificate; a Master's degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience in IB or international school environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the IB MYP/DP frameworks and inquiry-based learning methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to create and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for a range of learners.
• Strong skills in classroom management and student supervision.
• Proficiency in incorporating technology and digital tools into lesson plans.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
• Creative, collaborative, and proactive contributions to school activities and CCAs.
• Commitment to child safeguarding and the ability to provide valid background checks.
• Openness to engage in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and student activities.
