The Hamilton International School is on the lookout for an outstanding Social Studies Teacher specializing in Business to become a part of our Secondary team. This position is perfect for an enthusiastic educator dedicated to Business education and passionate about nurturing curiosity, critical thinking, and global awareness among students in Grades 6–12.
About the Role
The chosen candidate will instruct General Social Studies for Grades 6–8 and Business for Grades 9–12 within the High School Diploma and/or IB Diploma programs. They will enrich the learning experience through dynamic teaching, robust assessment practices, and significant real-world connections, ensuring that students gain a profound understanding of social, economic, and business principles.
•
Instruct General Social Studies (Grades 6–8) and Business (Grades 9–12 – HSD, IBDP, or A Level).
•
Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students across all ability levels.
•
Design and create learning resources and curricula that align with educational standards.
•
Utilize data and assessment techniques to track student progress and enhance achievement.
•
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate the diverse needs of learners.
•
Maintain effective communication with students, colleagues, and parents.
•
Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment.
•
Participate in extracurricular activities, departmental initiatives, and contribute to the broader school community.
•
Adhere to safeguarding protocols and exemplify professional behavior consistent with the school's and Qatar's cultural standards.
What We’re Looking For
•
A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a pertinent Humanities/Business discipline.
•
A valid teaching certification that complies with Qatar MoEHE regulations.
•
Experience teaching Business at the HSD, IB DP, or A Level (experience with IB DP Business Management is a plus).
•
A solid understanding of the Social Studies curriculum and teaching methods.
•
Proficient classroom management skills and the capacity to build strong relationships with students.
•
