Position Summary:

• The primary role of the kindergarten teacher is to facilitate early childhood development and learning through engaging, play-centered activities that cater to the distinct needs of young learners.
• Create and execute developmentally suitable lessons that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth while nurturing a supportive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Foster a safe and inclusive space where children feel appreciated, respected, and encouraged to voice their thoughts and explore their interests.

• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources, such as hands-on activities, storytelling, and interactive play, to captivate children and address various learning styles.

• Regularly evaluate and track student progress through observation and documentation, offering constructive feedback to support individual learning paths.

• Work collaboratively with parents and caregivers to aid in each child's development, ensuring consistent communication about progress and achievements.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practices to refine teaching abilities and stay updated on contemporary trends in early childhood education.

• Inspire a love for learning by integrating songs, games, and creative activities that spark curiosity and imagination.

General Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Education (Early Childhood Education) or any field with a Postgraduate qualification in Early Childhood Education, or an equivalent qualification that allows teaching of children aged 3-5 years.

• Certificate/Diploma in Education (PGCE/PGDE)

• Newly qualified teachers or those with teaching experience in a recognized educational setting.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The iPGCE (assessment only) does not qualify for Teacher Registration status from the Hong Kong Education Bureau, which is required for teaching at an ESF school.
