If you want to work in a caring and thoughtful environment where your expertise is valued, and your professional growth is supported, this is the opportunity for you.

About the Role

As a History teacher you will:

  • Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire pupils to think critically and develop a deep understanding of historical contexts and enquiry.
  • Teach across Key Stages 3 to 5, preparing pupils for internal assessments, GCSEs, and A levels with high expectations for all learners.
  • Adapt your teaching to meet diverse needs, including those of high-ability pupils and those with special educational or linguistic requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the Humanities department and wider colleagues to develop a broad, balanced, and ambitious curriculum that reflects our values and community needs.
  • Contribute to a positive, safe learning environment that promotes excellent behaviour and wellbeing.
  • Act as a form tutor, supporting pupils’ personal development and academic progress.
  • Engage actively in professional development and support Trust-wide improvement initiatives.

This role offers you the chance to be part of a united Trust focused on strong governance, accountability, and long-lasting partnerships that enrich our schools and communities.

About You

You are an inspiring and confident History teacher who:

  • Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for history that motivates pupils to explore and excel.
  • Delivers high-quality, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all pupils and promote independent learning.
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Is committed to ongoing professional growth and eager to share best practises with colleagues.
  • Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with pupils, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Aligns with our values and vision, believing in the limitless potential of every child.
  • Is confident in using IT to enhance teaching and learning.

Qualified teachers with a proven track record in history education who are enthusiastic about contributing to a collaborative and forward-thinking Trust will thrive in this role.
