Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday–Friday | 8am - 4pm
Salary: £23,638.00 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: June 2026

About the Role
We are seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to become a vital part of our specialized educational team, assisting children and young adults with autism and additional needs. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate, resilient, and dedicated to facilitating meaningful learning experiences for students.
In this position, you will collaborate with teachers, tutors, and multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality, individualized support, enabling every student to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging, high-quality lessons while providing 1:1 and small-group support.
- Help develop dynamic, structured learning environments tailored to students with autism.
- Contribute to the planning and evaluation of key student documents (e.g., IEPs, behavior plans, risk assessments).
- Foster students’ academic, social, and emotional growth, promoting independence and self-regulation.
- Support morning routines, personal care (as needed), and overall student wellbeing.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, care staff, and families to ensure consistent support.
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all safeguarding, behavior, and health & safety protocols.
- Engage in training, meetings, and school development activities to support ongoing improvement.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND (essential).
- A genuine enthusiasm for supporting students with autism and additional needs.
- The ability to establish positive, trusting relationships with students and staff.
- Emotional resilience and confidence in managing challenging behavior.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A team-oriented individual who is proactive, dependable, and reflective (essential).
